Judda

Judda - 'Bark'
"Before NIN, RevCo, Ministry, Skinny Puppy etc. had even hit the shores of Britain there was Judda. Mutated from punk, rock, psycho-billy and dance bands, Judda regularly packed out places in and around London circa early 1990's. Many labels tried to sign them and Chrysalis came close but soon pulled out when Judda decided to fight and slag-off everyone at their signing party. Often described by the media as a mutated half-breed of Killing Joke versus The KLF, Judda never followed the trend to jump on the ensuing N.I.N./Ministry bandwagon - instead they delivered music that you could both dance and vomit to. A Judda gig was always a sight to behold - punks, disco queens and heavy metallers mingled to the beats of Judda. Their genre would later become known as industrial music but we all knew that somewhere between the early forms of pre-industrial (Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle) and the N.I.N./RevCo/Manson era, the most important gig to be seen at was Judda."
